Job title: Director of policy
Alastair Chisholm is Director of Policy at the Chartered Institution of Water and Environmental Management. He is responsible for translating CIWEM member expertise into technical and policy advice for decision makers at all levels, for environmental managers and the public. Alastair has experience across a range of water and environmental issues, from water quality, natural capital and water resources through to flood risk management. He has particular interest in integrated water management and climate change adaptation and is a passionate SuDS advocate. A co-author of The Big SuDS Survey and A Place for SuDS report, Alastair is now leading research on a systems-approach to tackling the water quality impacts of stormwater overflows.
