Bio:

Granville Davies is Chartered Civil Engineer with almost 25 years’ experience in the water sector. He is currently Yorkshire Water’s Clean Water and Catchment Strategy Managerwhere his team is responsible for the development of YW’s long term approach (25+ years) to clean water asset planning, from catchment management through water resources and drought planning, to WTW and supply system strategies, taking into account the challenges posed by the climate crisis, population growth, regulatory change and other drivers, within a context of ensuring continued affordability, sustainability and resilience. His role also includes leading the work of the Water Resources North regional group. In addition, Granville chairs the Calderdale Natural Flood Management Operational Group. This group brings together a wide variety of stakeholders to co-ordinate the funding, promotion and implementation of NFM measures across the upper and middle Calder catchment areas. Prior to joining Yorkshire Water in 2016, Granville’s career was in engineering consultancy, where he led projects across the whole water cycle, including flood risk, water and wastewater treatment, drainage and SuDS.
